An Open Letter to the BC Mining Industry
WE STRONGLY OPPOSE your harmful campaign to undermine the Kemess North Mine Joint Review Panel and its central recommendation to government Ministers that Northgate Minerals Corporation’s Kemess North Project not be approved.
Your campaign came to our attention in October 2007 when Mr. McPhie wrote dismissive comments about the Panel’s recommendations and its reasoning in a widely distributed letter to First Nations, senior government officials and provincial ministers. Similar comments were published in a letter to a national mining newspaper.
